Catechism of the Catholic Church 1213Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: “Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.”

Jesus was baptized and taught his Apostles to do likewise. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God. We become members of the Body of Christ as we are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission. We can’t wait to welcome your child into the life of Christ and our Church through Baptism. St. John the Evangelist & St. Margaret of Scotland offer families baptisms on Saturday evenings following the 5:30 pm Mass at St. Margaret's or on Sunday mornings following the 10:00 am Mass at St. John's. You can begin this process by completing the checklist below.
